Units are normally allocated according to family size (1 person per bedroom).

Of the 64 units, 37 are reserved for geared-to-income (subsidized) households, while 27 are reserved for households who pay the market price. Market Housing Charges are as follows:

2 bedroom townhouses = $985 per month + Utility
3 bedroom townhouses = $1074 per month + Utility
4 bedroom townhouses = $1163 per month + Utility
3 bedroom appartment = $962 per month ($962 - $50) + Utility (Electric Heated)

The hydro, water, gas, water heater rental, cable TV, internet, and telephone charges are not included (it is members' responsibility to pay those charges).

If subsidized housing is needed, an application must first be completed with the Region of Waterloo (which operates a centralized waiting list for geared-to-income housing) before an application can be completed with Alfred Haenchen Homes directly. For information on how to apply through the Region of Waterloo, visit their website at http://region.waterloo.on.ca/ and click on Housing under the Living Here menu.

An application for a market-priced unit can be completed at the Alfred Haenchen Co-op office. Applications can also be mailed, emailed, or faxed to you.
